Meet The Team

Katie is an undergraduate, pre-med sophomore at Duke interested in double-majoring in Biology and Marine Science and Conservation. She is currently involved in research focused on analyzing the role of mesopredators in trophic cascades and the wider impacts they have on ecosystems and communities. In general, she is interested in coastal ecology, medical research regarding marine ecosystems, as well as aquatic veterinary medicine, in hopes of directly and positively impacting the health of individual organisms as well as entire communities and ecosystems. Katie hopes to pursue a career in either marine research with a focus on biological systems, aquatic veterinary medicine, or emergency medicine.
